 It was a very proud night for Lincoln Lodge No 544 as they made a determined effort and where successful in grabbing the Travelling Cane at the Official Visit of R.W. Bro. Lindsay Reiach to The Lodge of Strict Observance No.27 on Friday March 15, 2013. W. Bro. Steve Stafford ( Master of Battlefield Lodge tried to hang on to it, but Lincoln's Master W. Bro. Kinsey McLaren stood his ground, supported by eight of his brethren.

Host a Presentation from the DeMolay Chapter of Mississauga

 

Saturday November 17, 2012

 

 

 

 

 

On November 17th both Battlefield Lodge and Union Lodge combined to host a presentation from the DeMolay Chapter of Mississauga. There were 28 brethren combined (including the D.D.G.M of Hamilton District B) from various lodges within District B and out with. There were 16 included in the DeMolay group and this included parents and grand parents for a total of 44 in attendance.

The DeMolay opened and closed their chapter and highlighted their work by demonstrating The Ceremony of Lights; a lecture/ritual very similar to Masonry but with core values attached for the younger men. The values of brotherhood, patriotism, family values and faith were extremely apparent in the manner in which all the young men performed their various offices. There was a question and answer session afterwards and it was clear the enthusiasm of these fine young men. The parents (Mothers and Grand Mother) very especially keen on what their sons had achieved through DeMolay and were extremely proud of them. There is without a doubt an opportunity to assist in growing this order into the Niagara Region and everyone should be encouraged to try their best to support this group where they can. With an average 45% joining Freemasonry within the first year of becoming the maximum age of 21 and an overall 65% within 5 to 10 years it is clear that future of Freemasonry may be before our very eyes.

Wednesday November14th, 2012 was the Official Visit of R.W. Bro. Lindsay Reiach, District Deputy Grand Master of Hamilton District B, to Harmony Lodge No 57. As part of the work of the evening Brother Kyle Nelson was passed to the Second Degree.

On September 4, 2012 V.W. Bro. Michael R. Martin was presented with his Grand Lodge Regalia at Enniskillen Lodge No. 185. Although Mike was representing Harmony Lodge No. 57 as the District Secretary, a change of location for the presentation was necessary, as he will be away for the next regular Harmony Lodge meeting.  As a sign of support, a number of Harmony Brethren attended this proud occasion.

This was our newly elected D.D.G.M. R.W. Bro Lindsay Reiach's first meeting of the year. R.W. Bro Louis Domjan, Immediate Past D.D.G.M., was in attendance to present Mike with his Regalia. The Regalia was that of V.W. Bro. Bruce Edwards, who would be very proud to know Mike is now wearing it.
