R.W. Bro. Louis M. Domjan

Louis M. Domjan was born in 1961 and raised in Cambridge, Ontario before moving to the Hamilton area in 1992, where he currently resides with his wife Anne and their two young adults, Nicholas and Jocelyn.

His Masonic journey began with his initiation into Harmony Lodge No. 57 in Binbrook, Ontario a few years after moving to the Hamilton area, where he served as Worshipful Master in 2002-2003 and again in 2004-2005.  Lou is an affiliated member of Enniskillen Lodge No. 185 where he served as Worshipful Master in 2010-2011.  In the Hamilton Valley of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Canada, Lou is an active member of Murton Lodge of Perfection, Hamilton Sovereign Chapter of Rose Croix and Moore Sovereign Consistory, where he is currently serving as a senior officer of Murton Lodge of Perfection.

He is currently employed at Research In Motion Limited as Director, Business Affairs, Manufacturing and Global Repair Service.  Prior to joining the high technology industry, Lou was employed in the tooling manufacturing sector of the automotive, aerospace and transportation industries, holding various positions including V.P. Operations, Corporate Development Manager, Production Manager, and Sales and Engineering Manager.

Community involvement has included coaching various hockey and baseball teams, as well as serving as a leader in Boy Scouts of Canada for a number of years.  Hobbies include flying, waterskiing, hockey and golf.

Goals and Initiatives

   -   Promote visitation within the District

   -   Promote inter-district relations between Worshipful Masters and Wardens

   -   Promote efficient use of Lodge room time

   -   Promote banquet hall fellowship

   -   Promote support in our communities

   -   Promote support for Blood Donor clinics

   -   Promote communication through our District website

   -   Promote quality of work, protocol and etiquette

Thank you to the masons of Hamilton Masonic District ‘B’ for the honour and privilege of being able to serve as your District Deputy Grand Master for the 2011-2012 Masonic year.  Over the next several months I plan to visit with many of our members on a number of occasions, enabling us to grow together through our journey in masonry.
